on friday the 18th of March, the Kindergarten teachers who are taking a storytelling course with me at the University of Athens made their little cloth of 12 wishes- it is the one with the string warp
on Sunday the 20th of March a loom was set up hanging on the wall at the event organised by the Centre for the Study and Dissemination of Myth and Folktales for World Storytellingday at the museum of ceramic art in Athens. The storytelling event was dedicated to the people of japan.
I have already received notice that other such cloths are being made, and that they are going to be sent to me to stitch together with the others.
Teachers are asking me whether they can make cloths with their classes.
I will post about them as they arrive.
Anyone who wishes to send a scrap with a wish on it or a cloth may send it to

If you wish to send a few words I will post them here.
People who write wishes take a long moment to think about what they'll write, and all are touched by the image of the loom woven with good wishes. As for myself, I don't have words to describe the depths of the emotions I feel when talking about this project, or when I basted down the edges of the first little cloth to stabilise it before cutting it off the loom.
I am thinking of creating a storytelling event about this and offering it to schools in this area with the gathering of wishes..
if anyone has any ideas about how to proceed with the offering of the cloth itself, I would be thankful for practical suggestions and ideas
thank you all for your interest and encouraging words
This is absolutely beautiful. I'm happy to have found your blog.
